Spectaculalry elaborate and ornamental, in the makers own words "this is the finest work of embrodiered art we have ever created". True, the equisteness of detail achieved in this work of art is jaw-dropping. This is part of the series: Contemporary Fragments of Art, based on the iconography of antique textiles.

The work demonstrates the fascinating needle-work skill of Kasam brothers, Miya Kasam and Zuma Kasam, which is on the verge of extinction. The technique of embroidery used here is called Ari 'mochi' embroidery. A very labor-intsnive process, looking at their work one might wonder at the time and the eye-strain that went in creating these pieces.
